The Problem
Splitting bills among friends is universally annoying.
Awkward math, miscommunication, and inconsistent settlements turn shared meals and group expenses into friction. Existing tools either over-engineer the experience or hide the math, leaving users uncertain about who owes what.

The Approach
SplitEasy treats the social moment as the design surface. The user is mid-meal, mid-checkout, or mid-conversation, and every interaction needs to be lighter than the math it replaces, with no setup tax for first-time users.
From concept to final UI, the app was developed by watching real splits play out: where confusion happens, where someone reaches for a calculator, where a payment gets quietly forgotten. Each section of the app maps directly to one of those friction moments.

Outcome
SplitEasy reached a complete, high-fidelity prototype: a clean flow that scans a receipt, splits itemized costs, settles up, and tracks group history. Designed from user behavior up, the final UI put speed, clarity, and fairness first in the social moments where money gets awkward.
